Every website needs an address. You name your site when you start, and it publishes at its own subdomain on oneboot.io — a short address like yourname.oneboot.io that reads as a name and a domain, not as a link someone has to copy and paste carefully.

The address comes with the free plan rather than as a paid extra, and the free plan covers up to 2 sites on one account. Each one publishes at its own address, so a portfolio and a side project don't have to share one.

🌐 What's a subdomain, anyway?

Think of a domain like a building. oneboot.io is the building. A subdomain is one unit inside it — yourname.oneboot.io is your unit, with your own front door and your own key.

What that means here:

• Included on the free plan — no card, no trial countdown, and no separate charge for the address.
• One address per site, up to 2 — each site you publish on the free plan gets its own subdomain instead of sharing one with the others.
• Nothing to configure — the address, HTTPS and hosting are handled when the site is published. You don't add DNS records, and you don't set up a server.

🔒 SSL included — no extra steps

Every subdomain is served over HTTPS, so the padlock is there from the first load. There is no certificate to buy, no record to add and no renewal date to remember.

Why that matters: the connection between your visitor and your site is encrypted, and browsers label plain HTTP pages “Not Secure”. With OneBoot, HTTPS is on before you have to think about it.

🚀 Custom domains are on our roadmap

We're working on custom domain support, so you'll eventually be able to point a domain you already own — like yourbrand.com — at your OneBoot site. It isn't available yet, and there is no date to announce. Until it ships, your oneboot.io subdomain is the address.

That isn't a placeholder you have to work around. A short oneboot.io address is usable as it is: in an email signature, on a CV, on a poster, in a social bio. If custom domains ship, you can decide then whether you want one.
